It seems that many men are only comfortable competing with other men. They can’t handle competing with women. When women start outshining them in a field of endeavor, the society devalues that field. There’s something inherently wrong with the entire hierarchical system.

Why do they even use money as an argument? Girls and women have to pay the exact same tuition 🫠🫠

I also think it comes down to how girls and boys are raised. Women who go to college WANT more in life, and they know they have to study and work hard if they want to have a career. They grow up with "You have to work to succeed". That's what they are taught since they were little. Boys, however, they listen "You will be great, you can do whatever you want". "Work" is never the message. It's a given that they will accomplish stuff. Even if they do believe in meritocracy, it's not as ingrained in their upbringing.

Another thing is that women know they have to be EXCELLENT to get anywhere, because any mediocre man can take their spot. Men don't even bother being good, nevermind excellent.
