I love that Andrea Gibson quote. It's me too. I'm the sad girl. I wrote this week about how I've been carrying poems around like a shield. Sending you so much love!

Just what I needed today. To hear from others who understand. The grief I feel for the lack of humanity in our country right now is real. Thank you for your offering, Celeste. ❤️

Thanks for sharing these, Celeste. Last week was hard. It's still hard. I felt both depression and anger at the same time. Now it's just anger and disbelief. I was so hopeful that our country was better and would make the right choice. I was wrong. The most heartbreaking part was the looks on my daughters' faces on Wednesday morning when they asked me if he won and I had to say yes. They knew at that moment that many of their rights as women were going to be taken away. We have to fight to make sure that doesn't happen.

All that we can do is continue to speak about the wrongs and to share voices of dissent. Thanks for this, Celeste.

A qualified woman of color won an election against 2 white males. The voters were all conservative and the country was Britain. Maybe to reward women for being competent and skilled,we need to stop patronizing and allow them to fail because of their shortcomings-not because of the patriarchy-first

Yeah, but the women in Britain wasn't running against Trump. Voting for Trump was a vote for a violent, bullying, patriarchy.
